The following steps explain how to build a tiny maglev train model (Dodson, Sean 2004):

Materials

• Roll of double-side tape
• Piece of cardboard
• 20-30 Small circuclar magnets

Procedure

1. Cut two pieces, each less than a meter long.
2. Place twenty magnets on the tape. They should all face the same way.
3. Verify that the magnets are placed correctly using another magnet.
4. Cut two long pieces of cardboard to serve as walls for the long sides.
5. Attach the two pieces of card to the track using a glue gun.
6. Cut a rectangular piece of cardboard that fits within the walls of the track.
7. Attach a magnet to each of the corners of the cardboard, using a glue gun.
8. Place the rectangular cardboard above the track, but inside the walls of the track.
9. Move the train along using a magnet.
